So we decided to use a bio-based, no plastic, home compostable wrapper for our products. Our wrapper consists of 3 layers: paper, cellulose and modified corn starch. It has similar characteristics to plastic in terms of moisture and oxygen barrier and is food safe. It was important to us to use material that will not outlive us and disappear within our lifetime.
